Documentary Family Session

No posing, no directing, just capturing your beautiful family as you are.

These sessions can happen in home, at important locations or on your travels. From family traditions to routine activities I will capture the raw beauty of your surroundings and the genuine connections. These sessions go beyond traditional photography, telling the story of your adventure in authentic documentary style.

  • You pick your time option 2, 4 (half day), or 8 (full day)

I don’t offer the traditional posed/studio session. I come to your home and capture the first few hours or days of babes life and beauty that comes with that. I capture the connection and all the beautiful sleepy, squishy details that come with welcoming a new baby.

  • 1-2 hours. We allow for the slower pace that a baby requires, feeding/changes/coffee are all allowed)

We pick a date, sign the contract and send the retainer to secure your session. I get to know you through a questionnaire and share all the details to help you prepare for your session.

FAQs

  • I am located in Edmonton, Alberta. There is something so amazing about our big prairie skies but I do love to explore and travel. I join families at locations that are meaningful to them and capture their connection. Your family Cabin, a trip to Mexico or in your home. Bring me along and we can capture your adventure.

  • Yes! My first love with photography was capturing couples. I have scaled it back while my kids are young but if you are having an intimate wedding or elopement, I have packages for you.

  • For outdoor sessions the light is softest in the early morning hours right after sunrise or right before sunset. I am comfortable with all lighting scenarios and will often encourage families to pick the time that the kids will be happiest!

  • Your clothes should be comfortable and reflect your personal style. Coordinate your colors with each other and have fun with layers, textures and accessories. If you ever need help with styling just reach out and I can help!
